The nature of an argument is to prove the other person wrong. You don’t get anywhere by doing that. Especially because no one comes to an argument wanting to admit they are wrong. The goal isn’t truth, it’s winning.
You move forward by focusing your energy on what you really care about, which is something way bigger than being right. You can’t simultaneously focus your energy on making someone wrong and doing good work.
The way to win an argument is to not waste your energy being in one.
