What we put out has a lot to do with what we take in. Both the quality and the quantity of what we put in.
The legacy we leave behind and the impact we make come as a result of what we put out into the world with our energy, our language, and our actions. More important, how we feel in every moment and cumulatively in our lives come as a result of what we put out there- what we generate.
If we are committed to having a positive impact on the world and the people around us, and to living from a higher frequency and feeling good ourselves, we should start getting curious about whether or not what we are consuming is helping us or hindering us. There are many opportunities in our days to allow in negativity and low-frequency energy. This energy can come in the from of pictures we look at, tv shows that we watch, music we listen to, people we spend time around, things we read, which apps we use, the type of environment we hang out in or work in, and the thoughts we allow in and then allow ourselves to entertain (most of the thoughts we have aren't even our individually, unique, chosen thoughts.).We may think these things are harmless, and they are all impacting the quality of what we generate. There is no neutral. What we consume is either making us more dull or making us shine brighter.
We can start by simply eliminating one form of anything that is hindering us from being who we could potentially be. We can replace that thing with something uplifting and life-giving. While it may feel a little like breaking an addiction, the benefits will be worth it. Making a simple change isn't always easy, and it is simple. We have the power to impact the world in a more powerful and meaningful way by being responsible for what we consume. Where we place our energy and attention impacts what we create.
Today, let's make the conscious shift from being consumers to being purposeful generators.
